Plenary Indulgence

A Plenary Indulgence may be obtained by entering St Augustines through the Holy Door and provided

  • you have recently made a good confession and

  • you attend Mass and receive Holy Communion and

  • you say some prayers of your own choosing for the Pope's Intentions; an Our Father and Hail Mary are suggested

A Plenary Indulgence helps make reparation for your past sins or you could offer it up for the benefit of someone who has died and make a friend in heaven.

It is possible to obtain one Plenary Indulgence per day.

If in doubt do your best and leave the rest to God in this Holy Year of Mercy.
